7 HABITS OF SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE

Our habits in a way define and mould our future. We might see a lot of content but in the end, what matters is the things we integrate into our lives. Some habits come naturally to us while some we must make a daily effort to integrate in our life. As written in the famous book IKIGAI, Rituals are more important than results. It might be difficult at first but in order to grow, we need to willingly make some changes in our lifestyle especially now. because of how covid has changed our lives. So here are some habits of successful people to learn from-

1 . FIND YOUR PRODUCTIVE HOUR

In order to find your productive hours try working and studying at different times of the day and observe the time slot within which you were least distracted and getting most stuff done. This will definitely vary from person to person. It is also contrary to the popular belief of working early in the morning. Once you find your productive hours, you can then go to the stage of eliminating distractions.

2 . HAVE A PROPER SLEEP SCHEDULE

Having a sleep schedule doesn't necessarily mean sleeping early and getting up early. It means going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. This maintains the timing of the body's internal clock and can help you fall asleep and wake up more easily. It also makes you feel fresh and energetic. So it is important to put your sleep schedule in your own hands.

3 . UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF YOUR TIME

Know the value of your time. You should have a track of how your time is spent. The most crucial thing is to be attentive and the moment you realise that your time is not being utilised to its full potential, you stop, recollect and start working. Know your hourly income, know the value of work you provide.

4 . LOOK OUT FOR OPPORTUNITIES

You can't always expect opportunities to come to you. You need to go out and search for them. Especially now that the internet has grown so much, it is much easier for us to get information about almost anything we like. So search for competitions, internships and courses in your field. Working experience can be such a wonderful experience.

5.NETWORKING

Spend time with people who are nothing like you. Spending time with people who are just like you can make your views very one dimensional. So spend time with people who are different from you and understand their strengths and try to learn from them. Reaching out to people who have more experience than you and extracting as much knowledge as you can from them can be very helpful. Especially with apps like Linked In networking is much easier.

6. READING

I know this sound cliche but it works. Reading books increases vocabulary, is informative and one of the best ways to spend your free time. Instead, of spending more screen time, you can pick a book go outside take some fresh air and spend your break time. Reading also helps to reduce stress and improve your memory. I think a good way to enforce this into our routine is to start by reading one page a day.

7. HYDRATION AND EXERCISING

These two habits can have such a huge impact on our life. We often neglect these but they are essential. Without proper hydration, you can lousy and tired. Given that most people sit in chairs to work all day, exercising ensures that all parts of the body get enough movement.

Self-care is often a very unbeautiful thing. It's about making a spreadsheet of your debt and enforcing a mourning routine and cooking yourself healthy meals. True self-care is not salt baths and chocolate cakes. It is about making a choice to build a life you don't regularly need to escape from.
